Marc Adamus

Marc Adamus is a nature photographer who first started taking photos as a hobby. His favorite subjects are birds and wildflowers. Marc’s love for nature photography led him to work as an assistant to one of the leading photographers in the field. His work took off from there, and he now has his own personal projects.

One of the things that makes Marc such a good photographer is that he loves what he does and is extremely patient with his subjects. He’s not interested in capturing fleeting moments, but rather more dramatic scenes where the flower or bird is caught in beautiful detail.

He uses slow shutter speeds and long focal lengths to capture what would be missed by someone more used to taking photos of people at sports events or with fast-moving children.

For his photo of a Western Kingbird, Marc used an 800mm lens with the camera mounted on tripod to ensure that it wouldn’t shake even in strong winds. The end result is a beautifully detailed image.

Another favorite subject for Marc is water lilies and he takes special care when photographing them so as not to damage their fragile petals or leaves which are easily damaged by any movement at all. He’s also very careful about where he photographs these flowers because they require specific conditions such as shallow pools of clear calm water without too much direct sunlight hitting them to look their best. This means planning ahead so that he knows exactly what time to take photos based on the sun’s position throughout the day since there isn’t much room for adjusting his equipment to compensate.

Marc says that what he loves most about nature photography is the thrill of capturing a great shot and knowing it’s something special. Being able to prove you were in exactly the right place at exactly the right time with your camera set up perfectly makes all those hours spent planning, setting up and waiting well worth it!

Conclusion

These nature photographers have a gift for capturing the beauty of our natural world. They also share their knowledge and expertise with other aspiring artists who are interested in taking up this genre, so they can hone their skills too. It’s an honor to be able to see these incredible photos that highlight the beauty of Mother Nature!
