What is an ARW file?
ARW files are also known as “Adobe RAW” or simply, just raw image formats. ARW is a file extension for one of the several major types of digital camera raw images. Digital cameras typically offer both JPEG and RAW shooting modes. Although it’s possible to get fantastic photos in either mode, there are significant differences between them that you should be aware of before choosing how to shoot your pictures – what is an arw file? As mentioned above, when taking pictures with a digital camera you have two options: take shots in JPEG format or capture images in the (.arw)RAW format (also called ‘uncompressed’) . Understanding Lens Flare
An example of a lens flare is different when the light source is near and far. A close light source such as a candle, will produce small blobs whereas a farther light source such as sunlight, will create a circular shape which expands. The colors of a flare can also vary depending on the lighting, but most are warmer colors. Lens flares are often seen in photographs with bright lights because these lights can create an uneven brightness in the photograph.

Every lens is diffractive and produces a few flares of its own but these are rarely seen by the viewer because they usually occur in areas with low contrast or at high-contrast edges where there is no transition for them to stand out against. A well thought out picture will avoid having any bright light sources near such boundaries so that their internal lenses don’t create artifacts within your image. In this article, we will discuss how to manage EXIF data on your computer using two different free tools.
The first step is knowing what EXIF data looks like so you know if you are looking at it correctly. There should be an “xmp” tag at the beginning of the file name before anything else such as “DSCN0001” . Here are some tags from exif data your file may have:
- -xmp “Digital Camera”
- Date Time Original
- Date Time Digitized
- Exposure Compensation Factor
- F-Number Value As Shot/Camera Setting Name
